I have more than 25 years' experience as a licensed therapist, specializing in EMDR since 2003. I began my military career as a Navy Diving and Salvage Officer and retired after 39 years of service (RADM) which included multiple command tours, a 1 year tour in Afghanistan, experience in NATO and the 25th Director of the IADC. EMDR is an evidenced based therapeutic approach that helps a client in addressing disturbing life events that have been maladaptively linked and stored in the brain. This can also be called a pathogenic memory. By dealing with the memory linkage and storage, symptoms subside and are relieved. These pathogenic memories often lead to life issues in the present although they are based on past life experiences. We often say - how does your past show up in the present. In EMDR, the client is in control and their own brain does the healing and reprocessing.

I provide evidence based therapy through EMDR. Victory in life comes through your relationship with Jesus Christ. God heals; yet, sometimes He teaches us about His loving promises as we tackle reprocessing life issues that are getting in the way of living life to its fullest. Sometimes our brain gets stuck. If we can clear the maladaptively linked and stored memories (the stuck) we can heal fully and completely to live our lives as God intended - in relationship with Him.
EMDR Intensives Individual or Couples
Break the mold! Typical talk therapy consists of a 50 minute session, once a week, repeated for months or years. It's time to disrupt this antiquated way of doing therapy with a laser focused, effective approach. An EMDR Intensive is just that - intense - using your "GRIT" to promote you own therapeutic victory!
